FROM SOMEONE IN THE KNOW
I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at 3 years old. My main challenges at the time were that I had delayed speech, sensory sensitivities and other classic ASD behaviours. Now that I am older and continue to navigate my way through the world, I maintain that ASD does not define me but is a part of me (which is why I am not a fan of anyone saying ‘Eden-Rose is autistic‘ but prefer ’Eden-Rose has autism.’). I am a deep empath and struggled as a child to articulate just how deep. I am driven by that same empathy to set up the Eden Rose project!
